1 Generally, most media portray senior citizens as incapable, frail, and requiring constant help. In advertisements, films, and TV, most older adults are often depicted with grey hair, walking sticks, or walkers, while most cannot walk or perform activities without assistance. Further, they are also portrayed as unclean or dirty, with many unable to control their bowels. The old are also seen as forgetful without cognitive and behavioral coordination.
