Introduction
Change Management model has been described as a relatively easy to understand framework for managing change in different organizations. Lewin’s Change model has got three main characteristics and they will be discussed in this paper (Lawler & Sillitoe, 2010). Some of the characteristics of this model are as discussed below:
Unfreezing
This characteristic entails reducing forces that are hell-bent in maintaining status quo in the organization. Unfreezing is for the purposes of heightening awareness of workers or employees about problems that are rising out of their behavior, and both in the system and in the organizational climate. Unfreezing can only be made possible by introducing information in the system that would show the presence of discrepancies between the desired behavior and the true behavior of employees (Levasseur, 2010).
Change
After the uncertainty brought by the unfreeze stage, change stage is where people begins to resolve the uncertainty and therefore coming up with new ways for doing things in the organization. At this stage, people...
