A value-oriented manager strives to ethically represent an institution through proper guidance of other staff members to achieve a common goal. They position their principles to match those of the organization. This prevents any conflict in the organization that can hinder good performance. However, a disparity may exist when company’s principles and the individual ethics of the manager vary.

I will first exercise self-consideration to determine my strengths and weaknesses. This will enable me to diligently discharge my duties to the best of my ability without compromising my beliefs and those of the company. I will also frequently involve all my staff members in decision making to enable me take the right direction. This viewpoint will assist me to balance the company affairs with my personal and family issues. In addition, I will practice self-trust to ensure I perform only duties which I have the capability. This will prevent constant conflict with the affairs of other employees in the company (Davis, 2014).
