PROJECT METHODOLOGIES
Assignment Overview
Project Methodologies
Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) does not stand alone. It is applied with other approaches depending on the project, industry, or organization.
**Complete Case 1 before SLP1**
Throughout the class, you will work on a Project. The project must include a team of workers and the goods that need to be sourced. It must also have a timeline and budget. (It cannot be the LMS project from ITM423.) Consider a project for your current workplace, a small business, or an area in which you have specialized knowledge. Email your instructor early in the module to ensure your idea will work for the entire project.
Please come up with an idea and let me know, so that I may email my professor. I will probably need to request you for most of the course work, so it's consistent.

Project Background and Goals
The aim of this project involves designing an office of an area of 2000 sq ft and building it from scratch, and the total construction cost shall not exceed $ 75000. This building will contain space dedicated to client operations to make its construction professional and cost-efficient. However, the project also seeks to satisfy several community standards and all the states' building and zoning requirements to achieve optimal safety, sustainability, and usability solutions. To this end, this project will help the client to provide physical strategic positioning to offer services to the growing business population in this region.
The goals of this project are structured around three core pillars: cost control, architectural and organizational solidity, and the speed at which the construction is being made. Budget scrutiny will be conducted periodically and constantly throughout this goal to avoid any financial excess of $75,000. The structural and functional quality will be certified through third-party examinations to check whether the structures comply with the code and the client's expectations. It will also include a detailed project schedule with frequent checkpoints to assess the progress to practical completion. After project implementation, success will also be demonstrated based on the stakeholders' acceptance level at periodic milestones and project completion. Realizing these goals will, therefore, require effective coordination between the project team, stakeholders, and local authorities.
Risks and Ethical Implications
The construction of the office building entails various risks that the construction team needs to navigate; these include the following types: Financial Risk, Operation Risk, and Risk Related to Safety. Cost risks are risks to money issues and poor budget management that can be faced in financial liabilities, increasing costs for material, uncontemplated expenditures, or misplacement of funds. To reduce these risks, it will be possible to include a full-scale budget plan with provisions for contingencies. Financial checks, benefits, and cost evaluations will guarantee that costs are within the budget. Operation risks may include time affected by changes in the supply chain, lack of workforce, or even other natural disasters. These risks will be mitigated through pre-scheduling resource purchases, using buffer time in the project calendar, and having an agile, responsive risk management system.
Safety risks are another significant issue on the agenda. This is an actuality because construction projects generally pose risks to the lives of construction workers and their neighbors. Closeness with OSHA requirements can also avoid risks to the personnel and the public by avoiding or reporting incidents through regular site safety audits. Besides, broad environmental threats must be factored in, including waste disposal and neighborhood impacts on the ecology. Concerns like the lack of recycling facilities for construction materials, newer and fresh constructions, and emissions, among others, will be addressed by adopting sustainable pro-cyclic practices (Karji et al., 2020).
Issues of the ethical imperative for this project include labor relations, environmental management, and stakeholder management. Employers and sub-employers will be chosen following appraisals on their compliance with relative labor laws and ethical issues. Also, the plan is to ensure moderate environmental impact in the...
