How does my personality type affect my career and effectiveness at my job?
What the test revealed about me
The test revealed that I have a moderate preference for extraversion rather than introversion. Secondly, I have a very marginal preference for sensing over intuition. Thirdly, the test revealed that I have a preference of using feelings over thinking and finally I have a preference of judging over perceiving.
Strengths
The test shows that I am a moderate extravert which is fairly accurate and I consider that a strength. It has also revealed that I have a slight preference f feeling over thinking which I also consider a strength in my line of work. Sometimes there is never enough credible evidence to make a decision or the time is limited to process the information, and you have to trust and use your gut feeling. Thus, I consider the preference of feeling over thinking as a strength though it does not completely overshadow my thinking and reasoning capacity. Cumulatively, Jung’s test analysis describes my personality type as people who bear strong allegiance to the rights of seniority and willingly provide service and expect the same from others CITATION Joe19 \l 1033 (Butt, 2019). This is the personality type that is expected and encouraged in the military.
Weaknesses
One of my main weakness is my slight preference to judge over perceiving. As a judger, people may see me as a rigid and opinionated individual which is fairly true. I ought to learn how to keep my options open and be accommodative of other information to help me make more informed decisions rather than solely relying on my gut feeling. The test also revealed that I have a negligible preference for sensing over intuition. This means that I am like ideas with practical applications and with strong, undeniable realism.
