One of the chief concerns that affected the time and scope of the project was the capability element. Every employee had skills in a single field; therefore, forcing the manager to look for employers who would match the expertise needed at the organization, thus wasting a lot of time. Similarly, personnel integrations resulted in conceptual differences. As a result, adjusting to the effects caused by integration resulted in high time consumption, thus causing the project to be delivered three months late. Similarly, the chosen personnel had no experience in HR IT, which means it took time for the personnel to adjust and learn how to carry out the project (Bartlett & Bartlett, 2008)
Poor planning affected the scope of the scheme. In a standard case, before a project commences, an organization always ensures that they have all the necessary resources required. However, in this case, it is only when the project starts that the manager realizes the required personnel is insufficient, therefore, and the organization is forced to employ the missing personnel, which alters the project’s scope. When the scope changes, it means the organization will spend more time drawing a new scope since the execution of new developments of the project is taking place. The scope should be well-defined to efficiently and effectively achieve the project goals (Tinoco, Sato & Hasan, 2016).
The transfer of data between the concerned parties and lack of progress in measuring work correctly is another issue that affected the time and scope of the project. The working personnel had limited attention on data transfer, which led them to make poor decisions. For instance, the workforce failed to make the necessary changes in data because they feared that it had benefits.
