A holistic approach that leverages the best talent across different agencies will increase the IC's success through collaboration. Second, the IC in the United States embraces the creation of joint task forces and fusion centers. Additionally, federal initiatives have sought to harmonize IT systems and infrastructure across agencies, further enabling interoperability and data sharing. Moreover, the IC is embracing current technologies and innovations. Moran et al. (2023) report that leveraging artificial intelligence and big data analytics has revolutionized how intelligence is collected, analyzed, and disseminated. Part II The United States intelligence community and Homeland Security perform different tasks to achieve a similar goal. Since 2015, the relationship between these two security departments has become increasingly symbiotic. This evolution has been driven by the growing recognition that complicated security challenges require a coordinated and multidisciplinary approach. One key evolution was the formation of the Office of Intelligence and Analysis within the Department for Homeland Security. This office shares unique intelligence and tailored analysis with decision-makers and operators to identify and act on threats to the nation (Homeland Security, 2023).
