Developing Foundational Interpersonal Skills As a leader, influencing change in my professional specialty would require actively listening to other people's concerns and perspectives about issues and building strong relationships (Kjellström et al., 2020). This is essential since it will provide an avenue for developing a culture of collaboration, teamwork and trust that will ultimately drive positive change among peers and colleagues. Two possible strengths that promote strong leadership are my communication skills and ability to develop long-lasting relationships. As a communicator, I can aptly articulate complex ideas, allowing people to understand the message (Eva et al., 2021). Further, I can develop relationships with people I interact with, including colleagues, clients and other stakeholders, thus improving my credibility and trust in such settings.
