Definition of Sexual Harassment According to Moorman (2020), sexual harassment refers to “unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favours, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature”. This occurs when: 1 The individual is subjected to such conduct as their submission is made voluntary or involuntary by being presented as a required part of their work or membership. 2 Such conduct is employed or used for decisions concerning the employment or membership of such an individual by either accepting or denying submission to it. 3 Conduct of this nature is intended to or could reasonably be expected to disadvantage the person in her or his employment or to make a workforce environment threatening, hostile, or humiliating (Dobbin & Kalev, 2020).
