Does it make sense to conceive of an Organization?
There are many decisions made in society. One of the decisions may be that of establishing an organization. Some things go on the mind of an individual before any organization is conceived. Reading through the readings of famous philosophers like Plato, Aristotle, Hobbes, Kant, and John Mill, one gets to understand that there are guidelines or principles that people live by in society. In this article, the philosophies of the mentioned people will be looked at and address why it is a ‘yes’ in conceiving a corporation as an individual.
Aristotle believes that any community is established with the primary intention of doing good. Aristotle further goes to say that it is always to do a thing that would be good for humanity to coexist and live in good terms with the other. Therefore, it makes sense to conceive of an organization as an individual (Jowett, 1885). Moreover, thinking of a corporation is the best thing as it would benefit the community in a big way. A corporation does not only serve one individual. It serves many people in society. It, therefore, means that an individual has done well by taking care of other members of the society where they will be in a position to make ends meet. It, therefore, makes sense to conceive of an organization like a corporation that is doping well as Aristotle puts it.
Besides, Aristotle continues to say that a person who considers situations in their origin and first growth, be it a state or anything, they will be in a better place within a society. Aristotle continues to say that there are people in a society that cannot exist when others are not there (Jowett, 1885). Such a claim goes to explain why conceiving of an organization as an individual makes sense. An organization like a corporation can be started to offer products or services to members of the society. A good case is that of a Media house that would give the news to the public. When an individual thinks of a corporation, they can join hands with others and come up with a corporation that would serve the masses. Such a situation explains how one person in a society is relied on by another. An individual goes out of their way to exist for others. It, therefore, makes sense as Aristotle puts it, to conceive of an organization, and be there for others.
According to Hobbes, men are not of the same ability. Every person has their strengths when it comes to doing something in society...
