Discuss your perspective on this concept. Is the goal of moral universalism possible? Is advisable. Moral universalism regards certain rudimentary moral presuppositions or values that apply universally to all human beings, cultures, societies, and people, no matter their differences (Deresky 2000 P 46). Moral universalism is an ideal that should be pursued because of every person's inherent dignity and rights. It implies that certain ethical values, such as protecting human life, freedom, and justice, should be upheld beyond the boundaries and cultural issues. After this, the idea of moral universalism is commendable, but as it is difficult to make sense of the differences in the cultural norms and values adopted by the various societies, achieving it may be difficult. However, not only agreeableness towards moral universalism must be attained to achieve global concord, conciseness, and unity. However valid it may be to pay due respect to cultural differences, such pursuit of common principles of morality holds an important role in a world we should strive to be more just and equal. 2 What do you think should be the role of MNCs towards human rights issues in other countries?
