Go to AnnualReports.com (Links to an external site.) and review the annual reports recently released by two corporations in the same industry. Review each report and discuss the issues listed below.



In your paper,



Describe organizational differences that you see in how each corporation discusses its annual performance.

Explain how clearly the data is or is not presented for enabling shareholders to draw conclusions about how well the company performed.

Explain what goals, challenges, and plans top managers emphasize in their discussion of results.

Describe ways the format and organization of each report enhances or detracts from the information being presented.

An annual report is a comprehensive report that analyses a particular company's activities and evaluates the challenges, goals, and plans of the company. These reports are essential because they allow the shareholders and people in charge of the company to know whether the company is performing well or not. Analyzing the annual reports of Nokia and Motorola seeks to explain the two companies' performance, their coping strategies, and their plans. The two companies' reports differ because of the structure and the way every piece of information is delivered. Motorola's report is pervasive, and it is divided into various segments that address the issues that the company experiences. On the other hand, Nokia's report lacks explanations of the challenges that the company experiences.
Nokia's data is well presented and offers the shareholders' points of reference when making their decisions. Every detail is accounted for, and all the figures are well presented, making it easy for shareholders to know the strengths and the weaknesses of the company (Sanso, 2016). How the data was collected and analyzed is considered efficient because the people who gathered the information seemed to have done it using the correct procedure. On the other hand, Motorola's annual report is also extensive, and it acts as the perfect point of reference for shareholders and other investors. The report has included the different areas that pose a risk and the main areas that act as its stronghold. The report contains figures that show the expenses, losses, and profits that the company had during that year (Dean, 2014). The profits and the expenditures are compared, which helps the shareholders know how the company has performed.
