The course’s value stemmed from its exploration of diversity, inclusion, and human services. As society grows technologically, it opens a platform for cultural growth. In social work, structural changes in cultures extend to impact how people think, feel, and understand prospects. Throughout the course, learners were engaged in discussing the various topics on social work, which triggered the exploration of knowledge on cultural competency and its application in engaging with individuals from varying backgrounds. This reflection fosters how partaking in the course changed my thinking and outlined some social elements that I consider vital in developing a culturally competent plan of action. This course has been a vital factor in changing my thinking and understanding of cultural diversity.
