A leader is anyone who holds a vision and motivates people to move forward, regardless of their position in leadership. Successful leaders have been defined differently depending on specific contexts. For instance, a successful leader is one who effectively and passionately manages the delivery of the organization’s vision. In another instance, a successful leader trains and coaches the team so that they may achieve the vision. A successful leader also holds optimal patience and perseverance in challenging moments.
One trait that constructs a successful leader is honoring interpersonal communication with the intent of managing the delivery of the vision. Here, the leader demonstrates empathy, builds quality professional relationships with their team members, and engages in active listening.
