Technology Development in aircraft maintenance
Aircraft maintenance is a profession where a person is involved in inspecting and supervising the maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration of aircraft systems (Doganis, 2006). To qualify to become an aircraft maintenance technician, one has to pass their academic papers within a minimum of 24 months (Bijan, 2008). The person who fulfills all the necessary requirements is issued with a mechanic certificate with either an airframe or power plant rating or both. The field of airline has experienced technology developments both in the field of study and the working environment. The technological change has resulted in significant benefits to the airlines that embraces the opportunities and to the passengers who choose to fly in with them (Dave, 2008).
Technological advancement
As a result of development in the information technology, the trainees in the aviation sector can acquire various training materials and software on the internet. The software is used to broaden the trainee's knowledge and better understanding in their field of study (Dave, 2008). Information under electricity, technical drawings, weight and balance, hydraulics and pneumatics which are studied under this curriculum can easily be found from the internet by the students.
