A social movement refers to a loosely organized action by a large group of people to accomplish a specific goal especially a political or social one (Della Porta & Diani, 2020). One strategy of action of movement is collective strategy. It occurs when different people with a common objective collaborate to determine how they can approach certain issue. All social movements are essentially collective, implying that they result from spontaneous coming together of individuals who have a shared outlook on society. Another strategy of action of movements is mass mobilization or mobilization strategy. It involves bringing people together for a course of action (Smelser, Turner, & Killian, 2018). Through mobilization, the activists encourage the crowd to air their grievances to the government through protests and boycotts. Mobilization is the most effective strategy that helps social movements to achieve their goals.
