Since the last two decades, media has played a great role in trying to bring forward the real image presented in disability. Jack nelson (1994) highlighted how use of internet as a form of media in trying to fight for the right of equity among the disabled people. According to Nelson ( 1999), disabled people have embraced opportunities of interacting with the entire world as well as passing their feelings, wishes, grievances among other issues that tend to limit their capacity, to them internet and other forms of media are considered points of game changers. Having reviewed several organizations and groups campaigning for equity and proper treatment of the people with disabilities, and particularly referring to a Facebook page known as "I stand with Henry" (2012) I therefore find the basis to argue that the internet has indeed acted as the ‘spokesperson` to the disabled, who seem to be literally ‘speechless` and have no chance of socializing with the rest of the world due to one reason or the other.
