ASIAN RACISM
Race matters in every part of society today. Race can be witnessed from the churches, education systems, and our everyday relations with other people. As an international Asian student, I rarely feel comfortable sharing my experiences with other students because of racial discrimination. Academic institutions create a lot of barriers for women of color to prevent their admissions into the University programs. Those Asian women who make it are often scrutinized and this makes it difficult for them to make progress (Song & McCarthy, 2020). In the United States, Asian American students always have to struggle so that they can pursue education in higher institutions. Sometimes people will produce memes targeting the Asian communities in North America. These students will be yelled at and even get threatened on the streets.
