I was born in Mississippi in the South
Answer this question on the South in Mississippi
Please answer all of the questions
From the year of your birth, trace the social influences acting on your parents as they raised you. For example, for the 1980's, such influences might have included the increased rate of women's participation in the workforce, the high rate of divorce and remarriage, the drop in skilled-labor jobs. Look for the effects of social change on your daily life and the ways your parents cared for you. For example, if your mother worked, describe the day-care arrangements. If your parents divorced and/or remarried, describe how child care was affected. In this conference, I am looking for you to identify key social movements or events that influenced how people provided care to their children.
Note: For this exercise, you will have to identify the era in which you were born. If you don't wish to disclose how old you are, you can pick another birth year, but as a gerontologist, I strongly encourage you to embrace your age. Sharing our different histories will help us to understand how parenting has changed and remained the same throughout the years.

My mother`s pay similarly was inadequate and we had to survive on the sum total of their salaries, which meant that if we had to attend school, we had to go without a meal at lunch hours. In the early 1990`s to mid 1990`s the economy began to recover and due to women empowerment campaigns, my mother was promoted to the position of a senior teacher. Things seemed to be working against us when my dad, who had gotten a promotion in the cotton industry, lost his job in 1995 when the manufacturing sector began losing jobs.
Life became unbearable, as my mother could not afford to fend for the whole family just from her pay. The challenges were unbearable to the extent that my parents had to separate. My mother sought for a rental house that was chea...
