Writing a paper, especially an essay, term paper, or report, can be daunting for many people because effective writing must follow standard rules to make the paper effective. Kundu (2018) recognizes that most authors never adhere to standard rules or values in writing good papers due to ignoring the required rules and strategies. When outlining the main points of a paper before writing, I encounter several challenges that limit effective writing. Firstly, I struggle to establish a relevant thesis statement that reflects the main argument and links well with the paper. However, forming a clear thesis is among the prerequisites of writing a paper – it acts as a guide (Owusu & Adade-Yeboah, 2016) to crafting a sensible essay, term paper, or report.
