Microbeads are tiny plastic particles that are mainly made of polyethylene and are widely used in cosmetics. Their small size can sometimes cause these particles to go unfiltered, find their way into water bodies, pollute the water, and act as an environmental danger to aquatic beings. Since human beings are good consumers of marine animals, there is a high chance of microbeads entering the human food chain.
