It has become a pressing issue that has grabbed the attention of international media and various organizations such as the UNO; according to which the year 2009 was marked with a steady rise in the number of executions and restricted civil liberties. As life in Iran was only limping back to normalcy after the disputed presidential elections there has been immense speculation regarding their freedom or whether or not their life has improved at all.
