By first making a comparison between the latest quantitative data, in terms of the state with the highest unemployment rate as of February 2020, it is seen in Table B that Alaska tops the list whereas North Dakota has the least number of employments. As for comparing January 2020 with the February 2020 list, the rate of unemployment went down for most states except for Maine.
Comparing the table (Table C) of February 2019 with February 2020 unemployment rate, it is seen that the unemployment rate went down for almost all except for Pennsylvania which had a 0.6% increase. However, do take note that the second table was dedicated to states which had significant unemployment rate back in 2019 so the following table is the overall breakdown for each state of February 2019 employment against February 2020.
Looking at Table D and by comparing the number of total unemployment as represented by those under the respective months and year, it is seen that an overall increase in unemployment is apparent. Only West Virginia had a decrease in the number of unemployment throughout the year.
Based from the data gathered, the type collected is a qualitative type of data, its variables are simply the state name and the percentage of total unemployment which varied per state. As for the variable point or data points, they are the percentage, number of overall unemployment per month and year.
The overall summary of my data states that there is clear discrepancy on how each state had an increase in unemployment rate except for data shown in Table C and West Virginia of Table D, thus denoting that in the span of the year, more Americans had been unemployed.
As for the reduction of data, the table was simply based from a year of gathering total unemployment. There is not data dating back as far as 25 years ago.
