Google Corporation is the largest search engine company in the world. The company is the largest recruiter in the world. Therefore, the company has to have best employees behind it who uphold and value what the company represents. The American technology company specializes in internet products and services. These activities include search, cloud computing, online advertising technology, and software.
The company has seen rapid growth since its inception through several chains of products, partnerships beyond the search engine, and acquisitions. It leads in the development of Android phones’ operating system. It has moved quickly into communication hardware through its partnership with major manufacturers of electronics. It has an estimation of a million servers around the world and processes over one billion searches per day. It has major market dominance that has led to prominence in the media around the world.
Google is the best company to work for as per research in 2007, 2008, and 2012. It is the most attractive company and employer for graduating students around the world. It has a prominence to attract young people into its corporation through its environment, work ethics, and company culture. The company has over 48,000 employees in which 10,000 are software developers in more than forty offices around the world.
The company has acquired an excellent and bright workforce for itself that serves over a million people around the world CITATION Peg14 \l 1033 (Zokowski, 2014). It offers its employees benefits as dental benefits, tuition reimbursements, and insurance. It goes through great lengths to provide a good environment for its employees and to make them happy. It affords to indulge its employees but it is able to extract outstanding ideas and skills from them. It focuses its energy on motivating its employees than on results. Its culture dictates it to produce happy and productive people in the workplace around the world.
Effectiveness of Recruiting Efforts of Google and Recommendations for Improvement
The company is the largest recruiter and it uses various strategies to employ the best talent and skills in their branches all over the world. Among these strategies, include an analytics team, which plays an important role in the company’s success.
Wherever there are branches and human resource functions, the team is also available. It helps the company find employees through surveys and dashboards. It elevates the functionality of the human resource department in the company. The company manages to create effective leaders who conduct face to face coaching and they provide feedback in an employer-employee relationship. The mathematical probabilities involved produce accurate results hence the talent the company attracts. The data analyses the correlation of every potential employee’s performance. This data allows better matching of position to candidate according to his or her merits. It also reduces recruitment overheads and employee turnover.
