Determinism in Peter van Inwagen's "Metaphysics"

In the reading titled Metaphysics, Peter van Inwagen argues that determinism and free will are not less a mystery. This mystery is related to using one’s powers in political or socioeconomic issues (Inwagen). It is a common observation that people call some politicians bad without even knowing how they contributed to the progress and welfare of the country. This idea or concept of free will was introduced to Americans years ago.
