Writing an expository essay is a common practice. The primary thing an individual does when coming up with this type of an essay is to develop an outline. An outline helps a writer to organize the ideas and points that will be discussed throughout the essay. For instance, it enables one to identify the thesis statement and topic sentences that will support the main argument. A good expository essay should have a thesis statement and topic sentences that tie up to the primary argument, where proper evidence is provided.
