Learning environments
Physical locations, cultures, and context constitute learning environments that students use to cultivate a sense of belonging and optimize their ability to grasp knowledge (Castle & McGuire, 2010). Teachers have the primary responsibility in creating productive learning environments—characteristics of learners and assessment strategies that measure and drive learning to constitute an appropriate learning environment. The disadvantage is the logistical challenges when accessing them.
Online learning is a computer-mediated e-learning environment with no physical location (Castle & McGuire, 2010). It has flexibility in schedules attainable since classes are not set for a specific time in case one is busy. Builds character of the leaner since it requires discipline and dedication; it promotes conscious skills since individuals are self-driven. However, internet connection problems and possible distractions for those taking online programs from home deter online learning.
