As the personal in charge of handling the issue, the first thing to do would be to contact the people and entities within the confines of the university who have the information. The first in line would be the school’s newspaper (Zaremba, 2015). I would have to find out the exact authority that allowed the publication of that piece on the school magazine. This is because such a headline can imply the publisher is quite sure that the professor is guilty of the allegations. Clarifying such issues might be the difference between responsible and irresponsible journalism. Even from the basics of journalism, such sensitive and almost scandalous information should not be published before being proven.
