Difference between Aggression and Violence
Many use the terms, aggression, and violence interchangeably, but often the two may have some difference. Violence is defined by the use of a physical force with the intent of injuring another person or the victim; it is associated with extreme harm. Aggression is considered more of behavior that characterized by being angry or having violent feelings. Aggression does not necessarily need to have an element of violence; it does not always lead to violence. Aggression may have an intention of causing harm, but its extent of the injury, unlike that of violence, is relatively small. It must be noted that aggression may result in physical and verbal attacks, which may be defensive or impulsive, which are aspects that may be lacking in violence.
