Primary uses of a Project
Project plan is a detailed arrangement of how a given task should be done. The primary uses of a project plan are to coordinate, plan and communicate the crucial aspects of your program. As a coordinating tool, it helps the project team to agree on the important elements and define their interrelation with one another. The planning aspect assists the team to actively envision the different project phases which defines priorities during the implementation process. It details the key check points, dependencies and resources required to facilitate a given task. Additionally, project plan is used for communication purposes, as it generates a rapid understanding of what the project is all about. Through it the client is able to grasp the important details in a given project (Larson & Elizabeth, 2004).
Project Overview
Project overview is a summarized introductory section which defines the project topic and purpose. In addition, the project outlook, implementation methods and resources are also clearly outlined in this section.
Objectives
Project objective section describes what the project is trying to achieve. In order to specifically meet its purpose, the objectives have to be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-bound. The objective section should always give the project deliverables.
General Approach
