The "100 Ideas that Changed Design" by Charlotte and Peter Fiell is one of the most insightful articles I have read. For years, I have thought that gadgets were designed and built to be understood. Hence, if you do not know how to use a vacuum cleaner, smartphone, or microwave, you have to ask someone else who does.
