Watch each of the videos below that demonstrate the principles and general setting for mediation, including family (separation and divorce) mediation, workplace disputes, landlord/tenant issues, among roommates at college, and for convening victims and offenders (restorative justice). Describe your impressions of the process of mediation, its use in these and other settings, and your own (or others whom you know) experience with mediation. In addition, considering what you have learned about your own experience of conflict, your conflict style(s), and what you have learned to date about conflict, give your analysis/opinion about how effective you feel you could be as a mediator if you were asked to be a "third party neutral" helping to facilitate the negotiations of persons who have a conflict.
