However, the one that captured my attention is the “Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Programs” by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Indeed, the reading was interesting in that it suggested a feasible approach to alleviating a significant problem within the realm of the criminal justice system. Notably, managing offenders with mental health problems has been challenging for law enforcers and frustrating to policymakers (Winstone, 2016, Chapter 3).
