The 19th and 18th century in America was a time of development, change, and war. There was the issue of slavery that had led to lots of immigrants in the State. Having big families was common and this put a lot of stress on motherhood as it was an ultimate role for the woman to care for the family members. Being an enslaved woman in America, the duty extended to being nannies to the master children and worked on their field. Cases of forced early marriages are limited; thus, the girl child dedicates her early years to education and obtains a job before thinking of marriage and bearing children. Please share with me the history from the 18th and 19th century (Sayre, 2011).

The new liberals and writers advocated for greater educational and economic opportunities for the women suggesting female participation in government.
