Over the years, the healthcare setting has been experiencing massive changes in strategic planning. The mission for the efficient provision of services has forced healthcare facilities to change tremendously and undergo continuous transitions. As a result, this transition period is associated with several difficulties, limitations, and barriers when trying to solve “how much and by when?” questions. Therefore, understanding strategic planning involves discussing the mission and highlighting objectives and goals for a unique intended course. This post reflects on the barriers and limitations to solving the questions in the currently transforming healthcare environment.
One of the critical barriers in strategic planning is the insufficient monitoring of domestic supervisors. Healthcare sectors fail to offer supervisors the capacity to process and integrate strategic planning. In most cases, several programs do not associate with workers' job descriptions, units, or the whole work process. As a result, workers' perspective on strategic planning is additional duties, leading to reduced implementation and adaptability.
