Human beings are believed to develop at similar rates. There are four main stages of human development which include infancy, childhood, adolescence and adulthood. Every stage of human development entails different characteristics both emotional and physical. The pattern at which human being develops enables health experts to generalize all stages of human development across the world. This paper will discuss the four main stages of human development and influence of age in matters health.
Infancy is a crucial development stage of a human being. An infant achieves its ability to control its body in this stage although they rely on other to meet their basic needs including shelter food and security. Provision of food and appropriate environment promotes good health and effective development process. Infants are transformed to the childhood stage of development after they highlight signs of advanced abilities which include ability to make decisions and sense of self. During this stage, parents are required to nurture children with an aim of promoting a healthy level of self-confidence which enables them to make right decisions.
Adolescence is the third stage of human development. Children enter adolescence stage when their level of independence is fully developed. In this stage, human beings are concerned in finding their identities because of different physical and emotional change as a result of puberty. Their approach towards the changes determines whether their health remains appropriate according to activities and food they consume.
