While both qualitative and quantitative research was considered in the literature search and review, there were evidence and implementation gaps. There should be strong evidence to link the research implication and research findings. Gaps in theory and research affect the extent to which the key questions on the effectiveness of acute bronchitis treatments are addressed. It may have been necessary to consider what influences patient adherence among patients with acute bronchitis. The gaps affect other researchers' work and evaluate different acute bronchitis prevention and management strategies. Often using the best evidence influences other research works, and researchers answer key questions and even offer more suggestions for further research (Savage et al., 2015). Comparisons and variations on the experiences of different individuals would also have provided more insights on differences in outcomes when there are different acute bronchitis treatments.
