The nurse-led family interventions for improving family outcomes in adult critical settings is a quantitative study intended to observe the family outcomes based on the available interventions that are integrated. However, in the quantitative research study, the interventions were divided into five divisions aimed at determining the family outcomes in the adult critical settings. The second quantitative research study revolves around the quality of life of the nursing professionals who are based in intensive care units (ICU) of the medium-based healthcare organizations.

Thus, based on the first quantitative research study that focused on family outcomes was conducted on 33 nurses who were based in the Intensive Care Units. The nurses were based in Brazil and operated in Hospitals with an average of a hundred beds incapacity. The instrument used was the SF 36, which measures one quality of life in the last couple of weeks. The second research study was based on 15 studies conducted to determine the nurse-led family interventions geared towards improving family outcomes.

According to the quality of life assessment of nurses' research article, they deploy the SF36 instrument as a tool for validating the quality of life. The instrument relies on thirty-six assessment items which is an in-depth analysis of the quality of life of the thirty-three nurses. The sociodemographic data revealed that there was some impairment in both their physical and psychological states, which was closely related to burnout. The feature was common in more than 75% of the nurses and is due to a large number of patients and low payment.
