Introduction
Health disparity occurs when there are different medical privilege limitations faced by a particular minority group or subgroup in a country. The US Department of Health and Human Services has identified six areas that affect the minority in matters concerning health disparities and these include cancer tests and handling, child life expectancy, diabetes, cardiovascular disease like blood pressure, HIV and AIDS and vaccination (Ritter & Hoffman, 2010). This essay discusses three priorities that have been taken by the government in order to reduce health disparities in the United States such as; increasing access to healthcare, improving quality of care and policy changes and laws.
Increasing access to healthcare
The U.S government has tried its best to ensure that each member of the community gain access to full medical cover within any geographic region through the ObamaCare plan (Ritter & Hoffman, 2010). Presently, some minorities can afford health care, but their access to it is denied due to their medical history. However, the plan assures that they will have an equal access to healthcare.
