Health information technology refers to the digitized method of running medical records and systems in the medical sector. Information technology in the health sector remains an issue of great importance as the globe turns digital. However, even as various stakeholders work towards full adoption of the digitized system, there are still a number of issues that continually arise posing challenges. Coming up with a system of information technology within the healthcare system involves creation of a design which is then developed and subsequently maintained (Ciampa, 2010).
