Nurses have an important role to play in the implementation of innovative care models. First, nurse leaders need to inspire caregivers. Inspiring caregivers to come up with solutions is an important part of being a nurse leader (Stanley, 2011). Inspiring the creation of solutions helps caregivers to understand the importance of quality care. Nurse leaders also need to support ideation. Caregivers may offer ideas, which are ignored by nurse leaders. This shows a lack of cooperation and trust between nurse leaders and caregivers.
