The Spirit of Inquiry
The spirit of inquiry is the tenacious point of curiosity that informs research and practice. A registered nurse inspired by the spirit of inquiry questions challenges tradition and current practices and seeks creative techniques to solve problems using EBP. A nurse represents a change in the healthcare system. Thus, applying the spirit of inquiry and the use of EBP is essential to bring about change (Wyant, 2021).
As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in oncology, it is significant I employ EBP in all that I do. Cancer is a global predicament, and oncology nurses should be responsible and accountable for delivering safe and effective care to cancer patients.
