Governance boards develop policies that support stakeholders' interests, promote values, support decision-making, and implement an organization's goals. Each organization has core values, vision, and mission, and the boards support them to advance the strategic choices. The board members ensure that the decisions are sufficient and appropriate where there is an emphasis on transparency, accountability, and good performance (Chambers et al., 2017).
