Health Education for Tobacco Accessibility
Over the years, there has been an increase in tobacco in Indonesia. Even though these cases are common in many groups, the most vulnerable group is individuals aged 11-18 years living in the urban slums of Indonesia. Various factors are making this group to be more susceptible to tobacco abuse. One of the reasons causing high smoking among the youth is they can easily access tobacco (Ozeylem et al., 2021). Furthermore, they have the highest acceptability varying from the other groups. Since tobacco consumption is likely to expose people to different health conditions, such as stroke, it is important to employ measures to control it.
One way to help reduce the number of people who smoke is through improving the current health education. For instance, the stakeholders should create a healthcare education that explains the negative impact of smoking (Sutrisno et al., 2022). Healthcare education will help these individuals to avoid smoking since they will understand the negative impact that smoking will likely expose them to.
