In sports management education, excellence is pursued just like athletes striving to be the best in their sport. Similarly to athletes who devote themselves wholeheartedly to hard training routines, students must acquiesce to the intellectual effort required by the material they are studying (Seiter, 2023). The article by Seifried, Barnhill, and Martinez (2019) focuses on rigor as a curriculum aspect in sports management education, broaching common research problems and suggesting methods to make these academic projects more relevant and less challenging.
