For this study, the research question will be "In adult patients with mild Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) (P); is CPAP therapy (I) or other modalities (C), for example, surgery, administered in early disease more effective in reducing the occurrence of complications (O)?". OSA is a sleep-related respiratory disease that is characterized by intermittent upper-airway restriction, thus, impairing sleep and ventilation (Kapur, 2010). Constriction of the upper airway is attributed to a reduction in the dilator activity of the upper airway muscles during sleep, anatomical features and reduction in end-expiratory lung volume in sleep state. The occurrence of OSA is attributed to male gender, obesity and age (elderly).
