The 21st century has been the best regarding technological advancement in medicine. Unfortunately, in the same era, individuals are still struggling to live happy life due to the occurrence of several life-threatening diseases. These illnesses have become a major concern to every part of the world, thus; causing slow growth of underdeveloped and developing nations. The severity, rate at which a disease spreads, and available treatments are some factors that can be considered to differentiate the most critical health concerns we face in the 21st century.
Heart disease, especially coronary artery disease (CAD), is one of the critical health concerns this era is experiencing. Studies assert “CAD is the deadliest disorder that occurs when blood vessels responsible for supplying blood to the heart are clogged or narrowed” (Pietrangelo, 2022). If left untreated, it can cause heart failure and chest pain. On the other hand, HIV/AIDS is another critical health issue stressing the world.
