Nurses form the most significant proportion of the healthcare workforce at the forefront in the fights against the pandemic. Primary care providers are exposed to specific risk hazards that other care providers may not experience. Nurses face risks individually, as a workforce, and within the workplace. Individual risk hazards include the potential not to observe all Covid-19 protocols like social distancing, relying on masks when in public, and observing hands hygiene. At the workplace level, risk hazards include crowded workstations, work pressure that may lead to errors, and increased interaction with patients who may be infected. The combined individual and workplace risk hazards sum up workforce risk hazards.
