Many people realize that they cannot afford insurance coverage or medical expenses. This gives them hard time in their lives. It is obvious that one must choose between money and good health. Medicare was initiated by government of United States to assists people who concern with their health care bills. Knowing how Medicare operates will assist people to decide on which program will be suitable for their needs. Medicare is an insurance program which it provides health insurance services for people (Walshe, Smith, 2006). To qualify for the programs, a person should be citizen for the united states, and if a person is not a citizens of that country, then he can talk to social security administration for be eligibility.
Discuss the services provided by Medicare Part A, Part B, and Part D
Medicare is divided four programs; such as: part A, part B, part C and part D. Part A claims that Medicare aims at providing insurance. It allows people not to pay premiums in this coverage. This section provides for home and hospice health care, nursing facilities for inpatient care, and inpatient access medical services. Part B it is a medical insurance that pays for required services provided by the firm. However, people have pay for premiums to gets this service. It provides outpatient care, health care at home, doctors’ services, and occupational therapists services. Part C is the combination of part A and B. But it provide by private insurances firms acknowledged by Medicare. This enables patients to access extra benefits at low costs. Part D is drug coverage insurance which expects people to pay for the premiums. It has different plans that cover for drug expenses (Gokhale, 2008). A patient can chooses which drug plan is suitable for him.
