Pick any two diseases that require diagnostic tests to identify them from the body system. Use one of the body systems: cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, hepatobiliary, lymphatic, reproductive or nervous systems. For each of the diseases, explain:
Diabetes 
 The A1C test is one of the diagnostic tests for diabetes that measures the average blood sugar level over several weeks, mostly past 2 or 3 months. The hemoglobin A1c (Hgb A1c) measures the average plasma glucose level and diagnosing diabetes where the confirmed value is 6.5% or more (Greiver et al., 2011).
The Canadian Diabetes Association guidelines recommend the Fasting Blood Glucose (FBG) and not the Hgb A1c for diagnosing or screening for diabetes (Greiver et al., 2011). However, the Hgb A1c is more convenient than FBG and useful when also considering retinopathy neuropathy and cardiovascular diseases.
